1964 TR20 Cub
Hi
Here is a pic of my '64 TR20. It has been stood in the garage for over a year now and is in need of some tidying up. As you can see it is
pretty much standard apart from the Sammy Miller Swing/ arm, footrests chainguard and sprockets. Also electronic ignition.
Many thanks to: -
Sammy Miller M/cycles
Martyn Adams, SERCO
Tom Reynolds
Last but not least; **** Varcoe
regards

JYB......
That's one sharp looking TR20!
I've just completed the rolling chassis on my 64 T20 SM and I'm presently working on the engine. Looks very close to yours but I set it up
as a scrambler with an early Greeves seat and silver Preston Petty(plastic) fenders.
Sammy Miller sprockets eh? What size did you decide upon for front and rear and did you stay with the 415 chain? Seems like such a small gauge,
I've got Honda 50's that sport 420's!
I'd also be curious which ignition you converted to, not sure if the old ET on mine is worth fussing with.

Sprockets
Hi
The sprocket that I used are:
gearbox 14T , rear 64T. The chain I'm not sure, probably 415.
I chose 14T for the gearbox to use the bike for Trail rather than trials. It works well. Your T20SM has the same Wide Ratio gearbox. I did a quick
calculation for the final drive ratio; 11.55:1
Also the ET ignition is not worth the bother. When you are out in the wilds you want reliability!

JYB....
Yep that's my gearset and thanks for the drawing. Are you one of those guys that can just sketch stuff up freehand? Fantastic! Great skill.
As far as the final ratio of 11.55 to 1 what does that mean in terms of top speed? My 12 year old will want to know, it'll be his first manual
clutch bike.
What sort of ignition system did you use, I need to start shopping around.

Doesn't look like it needs much tidying up to me - It's a cracker! & a credit to you & **** Varcoe - I used to live near
****, he's a "star" re-builder - should have seen his 350 Goldie & his Trident, - yummy stuff, - Mind you, I hear he's
into bigger things now, - 32 ft boats!! - Maybe that'll lead him back into Bikes - A 32 footer will prob' handle a bit better than a
'Wing or a 'Glide!! - (maybe like a TR20 with a broken downtube!) |

harvesting of information, including photos
Steve,
The short answer is yes I have used the odd photo that is from this site. My intention was not to contravene any copyright, merely to include those
photo's of Cubs that I personally feel capture the spirit of Tiger Cubs. I also have several photos of my own Cub.
My intention was not to offend anyone. Therefore I will DELETE any and all photo's of any other Cub that is from this site.
I will also Delete any others that may be in 'MY Pictures Folder'.
I apologise to any and all of those who have been offended by my actions.
My advice for anyone in the future would be: - If you do not want anyone to have copies of Photo's of your Bike DO NOT post them.
Furthermore I am shocked that you would seek to ban my IP from this site forever.

That was the cleanest Cub I've seen on this site. You did a great job and the new owner should be very pleased. Looks like you got some good
money for it also!
Thanks for all the pictures and help you've offered up over the years, I appreciate it.
