Malcolm and Sandy Wooff

The cub that I have is a Road Cub with a serial # of 370, and frame #F4421. The serial # looks to be genuine and is stamped on the frame and engine, but I can find no guidance in any of the normal reference books. I believe the bike was manufactured in 1964, which ties in with some of the details on the bike. I bought it from an old Triumph dealer in New York, who in turn had bought it at auction some years back. It is nearly complete including the side panels (which need a little work) and center stand, but missing the two piece chain guard. The paint work is original although well faded.

I came across this bike in a roundabout fashion at Triumph Day held every year in Sturbridge Mass. My wife was trying a friends Mountain Cub for size, she's just 5' in height. Que who owned the N.Y. dealership was having a good laugh at her trying to get on and said he had the perfect bike but it needed some work. I took her to Que's bike barn and she fell in love with it, so we bought it. That was now three years ago and she's giving me a hard time due to the lack of progress, so it's time to get going on it.

The only other road version I've seen here in the States ( I'm British) are your wonderful pictures of the complete road version, so it should be a fun project and neat bike when finished. Because it is near complete I would like to keep it original, do you have an idea how many road versions have survived?
