Just bought the cub today in excellent order 100% original and it must be over 30 years since I last owned one, and the memories just flooded back, it was heaven, Cubs have to beat most of the bigger bikes out there for pure fun and enjoyment.

Hi all, I first had a cub about 25yrs ago in my late teens, in the UK this around about the time when jap bikes began to flood the UK market, and you could pick up British bikes really cheap, when i say cheap i paid about 40 UK pounds for cub, but i had bigger bikes for about the same price as well I had a matchless 500,panther 600,triumph saint, and even a bella zundap 500cc scooter !!! And that had electric start as well. However back to the cub, when i had the cub i didn’t even have a license to drive it, but used it every day for work and, all my social life as well, that cub could go where I would not expect a bike to go, i used it for transport on my fishing trips, and i even did quite a lot of dirt tracking on it as well, it never let me down once.

Then I found my wife and you cant make out on a bike well you could but my wife is shy ;) anyway the bike made way for a car and that was that. Well the kids have grown up, and I’m into my second childhood as the wife tells me, so i got myself another cub, and I’m enjoying it to the max, the memories that have come back and what i have missed all these years, it has to be the best buy that i have made, but the prices have gone up since then, as this one cost me $3000 NZ$ ( about 1000 UK or $1500 us ) there is one thing for sure I will look after this cub a lot better than my last one.

Oh, and before I close, I have the bug now and i am looking for another cub to rebuild.
